L7 kashima bokken 3971

Heavy Grade L7 Kashima bokken with inscription "aikido" in kanji characters with maker's mark "red metal" which was used in the Kingfisher shop before Nov 2023. Specific to the Kashima Shin Ryu, an old school (koryu) that emphasizes power delivery through the body rather than the arm muscles, this bokken is unusual among Japanese wooden sword designs in it's weight, overall thickness, and lack of curvature.

This is the actual item we used to describe our standard Kashima bokken.

Note: we could add another inscription on the left bevel (other side of "aikido"). See the drop down menu "additional options".
