Stout Appalachian hickory hiking stick with bronze ferrule and carbide tip. 1" diameter, weight 23oz. Wood quality would be high-level side of L5. Three tiny worm-holes as shown wouldn't effect strength.
This design features a heavy brass ferrule fitted tightly to the mortised end of the stick. It represents our newest improvement, a rugged support of the carbide bolt and further protection of the end of the stick.
