Hand cut Shinto bokken, all red Appalachian hickory. This rather light bokken was an experimental take on a Shinto style bokken but without a tsuba transitional step. The tsuka blends smoothly into the blade section. It feels like a Yagyu ryu bokken with a slightly more forward balance.
