This hand carved bokken has wonderful color activity and outstanding shape. It's light and fast yet made of tough Appalachian hickory for superb strength. Our hand cut products are made entirely without the use of abrasives or sandpaper. This lends not only a unique, look of authentic, pre-industrial woodwork but also an exceptional feeling of torsional grip. The inscription reads "temmei" (karma or destiny).
